On December 22nd, 2012, at about 11:00 a.m., a citizen contacted JPD to report their unlocked vehicle had been entered over night while it was parked in a driveway in the 8400 block of Duran Court and a laptop computer was stolen. The computer is described as a green Dell “Latitude” laptop. |

| 1/18/2013 - Vandalism on Glacier Highway | |
|
On 12-24-12, at about 4:00 p.m., a citizen called JPD to report the back window to their vehicle had been shattered while it was parked along Glacier Hwy near 16 mile. Investigation revealed that sometime over the prior two days, the back window was apparently shot out with a BB gun. |

| 1/11/2013 - Car Rifling and Theft on Seward Street | |
On 12-15-12 at about 3:30 a.m., a male called JPD to report their unlocked car had been entered while it was parked in the 100 block of Seward St in downtown Juneau over the previous six hours. A Kenwood car stereo was taken from the dash board. Additionally, another male reported their unlocked vehicle was entered during the same time frame and items were taken while it was parked in the same general area. Items taken included a snow board and two car speakers. The snow board was later recovered. The speakers were manufactured by Alpine. |

| 1/4/2013 - Heating Oil Theft on East Street | |
|
On 12-3-12, a resident from the 500 block of East St reported the theft of heating fuel from their fuel tank outside their home. Investigation revealed about $1,200 worth of fuel was taken from the unlocked tank some time over the previous few days. The tank was located in the side yard near the street.

| 12/28/2012 - Robbery at Mendenhall Mall | |
On Dec 13th, 2012 at about 1900 hours, the Juneau Police Dept. received a 911 call from a business in the Mendenhall Mall stating a store clerk had been robbed at gun point. Further investigation revealed a male had approached the clerk after entering the business and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash by brandishing a hand gun. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the area on foot from the front of the mall toward the Safeway area. The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’5” tall, blue eyes, small build, black hooded jacket, and dark colored ski mask carrying a dark colored back pack. |

| 12/21/2012 - Theft on Crazy Horse Drive | |
On 11-19-12, a citizen reported their purse, wallet and cash were stolen from their unlocked car while parked at the Fairweather Stable on Crazy Horse Drive the day before. The purse was black nylon made by “Pac Safe” and contained a check book with seal skin cover, a turquoise colored stainless steel mosaic card case and $1,500 in cash. |

| 12/14/2012 - Burglary and Theft at Jordan Creek Self Storage | |
|
On 11-05-12, a citizen reported their storage unit had been broken into and various items taken. The storage unit was located at Jordan Creek Self Storage on Jordan Ave. Investigation revealed an inside storage unit was forcefully opened and items were taken. The items included a new white Singer sewing machine, 32 crystal Waterford drinking glasses and various silver clam shell shaped jewelry display stands. Total value about $550.

| 12/7/2012 - Graffitti on Glacier Highway | |

On November 10th, 2012, a citizen called JPD to report graffiti to their shed on Glacier Hwy near Alaway Ave during the night time hours. Vandals had used red and green spray paint on the shed as well as various signs in the area. One of the discernable words was “COLOY.” |

| 11/30/2012 - Burglary on Aspen Avenue | |
|
On October 20, 2012, a resident from the 4100 block of Aspen Ave called JPD to report their home had been burglarized between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:15 a.m., apparently while the home owner was sleeping. Investigation revealed entry was made through a garage door. Items stolen included a folding Smith and Wesson knife, a 120 gigabyte IPOD and a diabetes testing kit. |

| 11/23/2012 - Eagle Beach Vehicle Vandalism | |
|
On Oct 22nd, 2012, JPD received a report from the construction company involved in rebuilding Glacier Hwy at 28 mile near Eagle Beach. It was reported the pilot vehicle, a Ford pickup truck, was vandalized over the prior evening. Every window in the truck had been shattered and all four tires were slashed causing about $2,000 damage. |
