| 11/16/2012 - Vehicle Theft and Arson on Glacier Highway | |
On September 28th, 2012, a Juneau resident called JPD to report their silver 2000 Ford F250 pickup truck with snow plow had been stolen from a residence in the 10000 block of Glacier Hwy near Peterson Hill. There were no ignition keys inside the vehicle. The truck was subsequently located near Echo Cove at the end of Glacier Hwy, however, it had been set on fire and was totaled. Originally when the truck was stolen, it had a red “V” shape BOSS snow plow on the front. The plow was missing and believed to have been removed from the truck prior to it being set on fire. |

| 11/9/2012 - Theft on E Street in Douglas | |
| On September 28th, 2012, a citizen from the 300 block of E Street in Douglas called JPD to report the theft of heating fuel oil. The fuel tank was built into a porch attached to the house. Beneath the tank were a hose and funnels taped together in an apparent attempt to siphon fuel. It is believed the theft occurred during daytime hours in the afternoon. Approximately 70 gallons of fuel was taken. |

| On September 25th, 2012, a citizen from the 2600 block of Channel Vista Dr. called JPD to report his outboard motor was stolen from his boat sometime over the prior 3 weeks. The motor is described as a Yamaha 8 horse 4 stroke. |

| 10/26/2012 - Theft at the Merchant`s Wharf | |
On September 27, 2012, a citizen called JPD to report he was at the Merchants Wharf and had put his back pack down for several minutes while he was nearby. Someone took his back pack. The pack was described as a black Jansport with “Airlift” shoulder straps that are see through with a wolf pin on the bottom of the pack. Inside the bag were a Compac laptop, a Net 10 cell phone and an LG cell phone as well as Blockbuster movies. |

| 10/19/2012 - Theft/Burglary on Glacier Hwy | |
On October 1st, 2012, a worker for the U.S. Forest Service called JPD to report a storage shed at their property at the 2100 block of Glacier Hwy had the door forced in and items stolen. The stolen items consisted of (2) OMC 30 horse outboard motors and an 8 horse OMC outboard motor. Additionally, several other items were taken including an orange Mustang suit, rain coat, hip boots, Wild MC3 stereo microscope, dry bags, camping gear, Skil circular saw, a Honda 2 stroke generator, a Honda 4 stroke generator, a Stihl chainsaw, survival suit and various tools. |

| 10/12/2012 - Burglaries on South Franklin Street | |
|
On September 27th, the Juneau Police Dept. received reports of burglaries at the Manila Sunset Grill and at Tracy’s Crab Shack in the 300 block of South Franklin St downtown. The businesses are situated next to each other. The burglaries occurred during the night and were discovered in the morning hours.
Investigation revealed some one had used a prying type tool to open the doors to the businesses and gain entry. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from one of the businesses. |

| 10/5/2012 - Laptop Theft at Centennial Hall | |
|
On 07-23-12, a citizen reported to JPD the theft of their computer and equipment from Centennial Hall over the evening of July 21st and 22nd. The victim had left the items unattended in a side room and they were taken. They were described as a silver Macbook Pro laptop along with its charger and a card reader. |

| 9/28/2012 - Vandalism on Airport Dike Trail | |

On 09-05-12 at about 9 a.m., the Juneau Police Dept. received a report from staff at the Juneau airport of a vandalism. Investigation revealed someone had cut the thick barrier ropes that act as fencing for part of the Airport Dike Trail sometime over the previous night. The rope strands are very thick and replacement and repair costs are about $5,000. |

| 9/21/2012 - Burglary and Theft on Mendenhall Loop Road | |

On 08-22-12, a resident from the 9500 block of Mendenhall Loop RD called JPD to report a burglary of the residence. Several items were taken including firearms. The property taken was described as a Winchester Model 70 in .270 caliber, a Browning A-5 20 gauge shot gun, a Rossi .45LC lever action rifle, a Browning semi-auto .410 shotgun, a pearl necklace, Tlingit design earrings with a raven head and “EAK” inscribed on the back, silverware and a men’s gold nugget ring weighing about 1/3 ounce. |

| 9/15/2012 - Vandalism on Ralph`s Way | |
On August 16th, 2012, a business owner from the 1700 block of Ralph’s Way in the Lemon Creek area contacted JPD to report a large amount of graffiti to the business over the previous night. An unknown person had used white spray paint to write the words “YOMP,” “REAPERZ” and other unreadable words on the building. Additionally, the word “GEKO” was spray painted on a power box outside the business as well as painting along a fence outside the business. The victim would like to post a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s). |
